Bowen Therapy Specialist
Fiona Milnes

Please allow me to introduce myself!

I have been involved in complementary medicine and holistic therapies for over thirty years. During this time I have accumulated a comprehensive understanding of the human body, pain patterns, posture, sports injuries and exercises for flexibility and strength.

During your treatment with me I will help you with a wider understanding of your symptoms and what you can do to put yourself on a road to optimum well-being.

I am a firm believer in helping you to help yourself towards maintaining whole health.

The technique consists of a series of precise and gentle moves on skin, or over light clothing should the client prefer, interspersed with frequent pauses that allow the body time to respond. Many people are surprised, and even a little put out, that there is such a light pressure involved, especially those used to the heavier touch of deep tissue massage or other techniques.

A Bowtech treatment may last from twenty minutes to an hour. Most often, a surprisingly few sessions are needed to alleviate complaints, whether structural or functional, even if long-standing. And the results hold for a long time, generally until there is a re-injury.

With its gentle touch and minimal intervention, the technique is considered appropriate to use on anyone from newborns to the elderly, with any condition from sports injuries to chronic or organic complaints.

Whether you are frail or pregnant, have a recent injury or a problem that’s been with you for years, you should consider the Bowen Technique.

It can assist recovery from many conditions and in most cases only a few treatments are required. Indeed a few people having had just one treatment found they had no need to return as their problem was resolved.
